Common Admission Test (CAT) is one of the national level online entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) and top B-Schools for the admission to post graduate management programmes in IIMs and various Indian universities and colleges.
The candidates are tested on quantitative ability, verbal ability, data interpretation and logical reasoning through online examination which is mostly qualified by the smart and overall intelligent candidates.
Eligibility for CAT:- To be eligible for the Common Admission Test, the candidates must have a bachelor's degree with 50% marks or equivalent. However, final year undergraduate students are also eligble for the test. The CAT scorecard or grades can be used in various business schools across the country.
Every year the exam is usually held in the month of October at 354 centres in 99 cities and towns all over India. The test consist of two sections with 100 questions i.e 50 for quantitative ability and 50 for data interpretation and verbal ability and logical reasoning under the time limit of 170 minutes.
For each correct answer the candidate will be given +3 marks and -1 mark for the wrong answer.
So friends if you want to get selected in this examination, just practice the quantitative ability, reasoning and required material upto three to four months with hard work. Various books like R.S Agrawal for apptitude reasoning etc may help you a bit. So go through each book one by one and work hard.
